Job summary

CoreGo in Finland is seeking a Data Engineer to own and evolve our data platform on Databricks, collaborating with product, software, and analytics teams. You will influence architecture and ensure reliability as data and AI needs grow.

The role emphasizes building scalable ingestion, lakehouse, and transformation pipelines, implementing governance, security, and cost optimization, with a flexible start and occasional Helsinki office visits.

Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related technical field.
3+ years of hands-on data engineering experience building data pipelines.
Databricks and PySpark experience, plus workflow orchestration.
Infrastructure-as-code and DevOps practices for data platforms.
Cloud experience, ideally Microsoft Azure.
Understanding of data security and governance best practices.
Strong analytical thinking and ability to manage workload.
Proficiency in English and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

Developing and evolving ingestion, lakehouse architecture, transformations, and orchestration.
Building and maintaining data models and pipelines for analytics and ML workloads across CoreGo Cloud components.
Maintaining data quality, testing, and CI/CD practices across the platform.
Defining and evolving access control, data governance, and security standards (e.g. Unity Catalog).
Run the platform in production with monitoring, incident response, and cost optimization.
