Job summary

Speechify is hiring for a backend-focused Platform role in a fully distributed setting. You will design, build, and maintain APIs (public TTS, payments, auth) and ensure scalable, reliable services.

The role emphasizes strategic thinking, fast delivery, and delivering great user experiences at scale. Ideal candidates have TS/Node backend experience, cloud familiarity (GCP/AWS/Azure), and comfort with Docker and Kubernetes in a high-velocity environment.

Qualifications

• Backend development experience with TS/Node (required).
• Direct experience with GCP and knowledge of AWS or Azure.
• Ability to prioritize tasks based on impact and urgency.
• Experience with containerized deployments (Docker).
• Proficiency deploying high-availability apps on Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs (public TTS, internal Payment/Subscription/Auth).
• Oversee backend API landscape for performance and maintainability.
• Collaborate on enterprise client integrations and B2B solutions.
• Align backend architecture with product strategy and user experience.
