Job summary

The University of Oulu invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher in Medical Statistics within the Health Dimensions initiative. The role focuses on longitudinal models of chronic diseases and real-world data analysis using machine learning methods.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree completed by end of the application period and no more than 10 years since completion.
• Experience with machine learning methods and strong analytical/programming skills (R or Python).
• Proven ability to prepare and analyze data reproducibly.

Responsibilities

• Extract, link, clean and manage data from health data sources.
• Design reproducible studies and evaluate models using appropriate analytical methods.
• Build and evaluate longitudinal models and research software.
• Write scientific articles and contribute to papers led by the team.
• Present research findings at unit, university and external meetings.
• Support information governance documentation, project reporting and funding applications.
