Job summary

Orion Pharma is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher in Pain to bridge academic discovery with industrial development. The two-year program focuses on translational pain targets and computational/experimental approaches, offering collaboration with top scientists across locations in Finland and beyond.

The role involves leading a science-driven project in pain research, developing novel insights, and contributing to patient-focused drug discovery strategies within an international pharma setting.

Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant scientific discipline.
• PhD completed within the last four years (excluding certain leaves).
• Strong publication record relative to career stage.
• Experience in experimental design, data analysis, and scientific problem-solving.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in multidisciplinary environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute an independent postdoctoral research project.
• Design, conduct, analyse, and interpret scientific studies.
• Develop innovative solutions to research questions relevant to the pharmaceutical industry.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams within Orion and external partners.
• Prepare high-quality scientific reports, publications, and presentations.
• Present findings to internal and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to scientific discussions and knowledge sharing.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, data integrity and IP requirements.
