Job summary

Aalto University invites applications for a fully funded doctoral researcher position in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Automation in Espoo, Finland. Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, materials sciences, or a closely related field.
  • Fluent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a research team.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct experimental characterization of laminated steels and analyze magnetic deterioration.
  • Generalize magnetic deterioration models for punching-related stresses.
  • Contribute to implementing dynamic vector models in the finite element code.
  • Validate simulation models by experimental evaluation of losses in variable-speed electric machines.
