Job summary

IQVIA MedTech is seeking a Field Service Engineer/Technician to install automated medication dispensing systems in healthcare facilities. You will travel locally, regionally, and nationally, with a per-diem, assignment-based schedule and 16–30 hours per week, plus travel time.

The role requires 1+ year electronics/hardware/software experience, strong communication, and the ability to work with design engineers and healthcare staff. Training is paid, immunization and credentialing may be required.

Qualifications

  • Successful completion of Ylioppilastutkinto is required.
  • English and Finnish language proficiency is required.
  • Minimum 1 year related electronics, hardware, software or mechanical experience.
  • Comfort with basic software programs and Microsoft operating systems.
  • Ability to work with engineers, managers and healthcare personnel to plan layouts and workflows.
  • Must meet hospital credentialing and immunization requirements.

Our MedTech Field Service Engineer or Technicians experience a unique opportunity to employ their technical experience by collaborating with healthcare professionals and leading technical initiatives in medical device technology.

You will be responsible for installing hardware for automated medication dispensing systems within healthcare facilities throughout. This position requires you to travel 100% locally, regionally, and nationally. Due to the travel, the role requires open availability Monday through Friday. Work is assignment based, with a typical week including 16-30 hours worked, plus travel time.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Organizing, testing, and assembling automated medication dispensing systems; all tasks revolve around installing and configuring hardware, software and mechanical medical devices.

  • Review of schematics / drawings, documentation, and logistics to support installation activities.

  • Conduct routine checks and record data from product tests after installation and configuration.

  • Ensure work is completed in accordance with quality compliance requirements.

  • Partner with a team of support staff, manage project timelines and customer needs.

  • Training for this role will be provided and is paid

Schedule:
  • Per-diem, assignment-based position requiring travel and open flexibility.
Required Qualifications:

  • English and Finnish language spoken is required

  • Minimum 1 year related electronics, hardware, software or mechanical experience required.

  • Professional business acumen and communication skills required.

  • Must be comfortable with basic software programs and Microsoft operating systems.

  • Ability to work with design engineers, project managers & healthcare personnel to identify equipment layout, operations, and workflow required.

  • Ability to clear hospital vendor credentialing requirements, including proof of vaccination status, required.

  • Position may/will require up to date immunizations.

  • Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 poundsrequired.

Travel Requirement:
  • An active and unrestricted driver’s license is required.

  • Will have a personal vehicle and willing to use it for job related assignments.

  • Ability to travel locally, regionally, and nationally weekly to support customer needs required.

  • Needs to be located within 30 miles of a major airport.

  • Travel, and your time traveling is paid, as is mileage.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Military veterans with experience in electronics related MOS are encouraged to apply!

  • Ability to work independently in customer settings with minimal supervision.
