Job summary

ICEYE is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer - Mechanical to ensure quality across the supplier base. You will lead preselection, audits, and qualification of mechanical parts, manage NCRs and CAPA, and drive supplier improvements to enable reliable manufacturing.

The role collaborates with Supply Chain and Engineering, ensuring traceability and change management across vendors. A strong background in mechanical manufacturing and GD&T is essential.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required.
• Minimum 3 years in supplier quality or similar.
• Strong knowledge of supplier quality management for mechanical parts.
• Deep understanding of manufacturing processes (CNC, surface treatments, assembly).
• Experience with NC management, CAPA, and root cause tools.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, GD&T, and process docs.
• Focus on traceability, configuration control, and change management.
• Data-driven approach to supplier performance and quality metrics.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier preselection and audits to assess capability and compliance.
• Define and communicate technical and quality requirements to suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance using defined metrics and drive improvements.
• Manage supplier change requests and configuration control with engineering teams.
• Lead supplier part qualification activities prior to production release.
• Assess and mitigate supplier risks to ensure continuity of supply and quality.
• Collaborate with Design and AIT teams for manufacturability feedback.
• Implement and track supplier improvement plans to raise maturity.
• Serve as primary contact for supplier-related quality issues and NC/DEVs.
