Creo Center Oy in Espoo seeks a mechanical designer specialized in plastic products, especially injection‑moulded parts, with a focus on manufacturability and production requirements.
You will design metal parts as needed and collaborate in a multidisciplinary, international team. Proficiency in Creo 3D CAD and good communication in Finnish and English are essential.
This permanent, full‑time role offers a developing career with a comprehensive benefits package and flexible hybrid working hours.
Creo Center is a multidisciplinary product development partner for organizations that want to succeed with new innovations or by promoting the development of current products. With our wide service portfolio, we are able to provide high-level design for product development projects in various fields and be a strategic partner for both local and international companies. Our customers are mainly top product development organizations, leading manufacturing companies and startups developing innovative product ideas. Due to our growth and internationalization, we are pioneers in our field in several service areas, and our ambition is to grow and develop further into one of the most significant product development organisations in the Nordic countries both in terms of product development and as an implementer of product development‑driven digital transformation.
Due to our growth, we are now looking for a mechanical designer for plastic product design in Espoo!
In this role, you will be responsible for the mechanical design of plastic products, focusing especially on injection‑moulded products. The work also includes the design of metal parts, such as thin sheet structures and wire‑bending parts as part of larger product entities, and the design emphasises in particular the consideration of manufacturability and production requirements throughout the design process. You will get to work on versatile product development projects as part of a multidisciplinary team. We are looking for an expert for this role who already has experience in the mechanical design of plastic products, especially the design of injection‑moulded products, as well as Creo 3D CAD skills. Experience with MIL standards and specifications and working in regulated industries, as well as surface modelling skills in the Creo environment, are considered an advantage. A suitable educational background for the position could be, for example, a mechanical engineering or mechatronics engineer/MSc or alternatively a university degree in the field of design.
Since product development is always done in close cooperation with colleagues and customers, we value strong cooperation skills, openness and extroversion in all our roles. Operating in a multidisciplinary, international project environment also requires the ability to act both independently and as part of a team and requires good communication skills in both Finnish and English.
At Creo Center, you are part of a product development community of over 150 experts, where top expertise grows and develops in multidisciplinary cooperation.
Our mechanical design positions are permanent and full-time and start according to agreement.
