Job summary

Kuopion Grillisiipi is looking for a skilled chef with knowledge of Arabic cuisine to join our team in Kuopio. The role centers on cooking, with occasional customer service and selling portions to diners.

You will need a hygiene passport within three months, be able to work nights, and stay physically active while standing. Finnish language skills are required; basic English or Arabic can help at start while you learn Finnish. Orientation will be provided.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Arabic cuisine is required.
• Willing to learn Finnish; basic English/Arabic acceptable at start.
• Ability to work at night and stand for long periods.
• Hygiene passport must be obtained within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Mainly cooking as a chef, with occasional customer service and selling portions.
• Maintain kitchen hygiene and food safety standards.
• Work night shifts from 22:00 to 05:00, including weekdays and weekends.

Kuopion Grillisiipi offers a wide range of delicious and filling grilled dishes. Grillisiipi is proud to offer its customers a wide range of gourmet-level grilled delicacies that combine traditional flavors with innovative twists.

The work is mainly a chef’s job, but the work also sometimes includes customer service and selling food portions. The job requires a hygiene passport, which must be completed within 3 months of starting the job. The applicant is expected to be hardworking and physically fit (working while standing). Orientation will be provided. The work is night work, between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. As an employee you need Finnish language skills, and if you don’t already have that skill, we expect you to be ready and active in learning the language, at the beginning you manage English or/and Arabic language.
