Job summary

NG Nordic is seeking a Legal Counsel to join the centralized Nordic Legal & Compliance team and support business units across Finland. You will work independently on a broad range of legal matters, collaborating with colleagues across the Nordics and contributing to a circular economy.

You will counsel on commercial contracting, compliance, governance, and regulatory developments, and develop templates and standard agreements. This is a Nordic role with hybrid work and Espoo-based headquarters.

Qualifications

• LL.M. degree from a Finnish university.
• 5-8 years of relevant experience, in-house or at a law firm.
• Strong knowledge of contract law; knowledge of competition and environmental law is an advantage.
• Familiarity with environmental law and public procurement law is an advantage.
• Ability to independently manage complex legal matters and provide business-focused advice.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; fluency in Finnish and English.

Responsibilities

• Advising Finnish business units on commercial contracting, including drafting, reviewing and negotiating agreements.
• Providing legal guidance on compliance, corporate governance, competition- and environmental law.
• Preparing and developing legal templates and standard agreements.
• Monitoring new legislation and regulatory developments and assessing their impact on the business.
• Identifying legal and commercial risks and helping the business to mitigate them.
• Supporting coordination of legal matters at a Nordic level when needed.
• Taking an active role in projects and process development.
• Supporting colleagues across the team and sharing knowledge and expertise.

What you'll do

As Legal Counsel, you will be a trusted legal partner to the business. Your responsibilities will include:

You have:

• Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from a Finnish university.
• 5-8 years of relevant experience, gained either in-house or at a law firm.
• Strong knowledge and experience of contract law, knowledge of competition law is advantage
• Familiarity with environmental law and public procurement law is an advantage.
• Ability to independently manage complex legal matters and provide clear, business-focused advice.
• Capacity to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills and fluency in Finnish and English
