Job summary

Worldwiders Recruitment is partnering with a major international organisation to appoint a Lead Construction Lawyer based in Helsinki, Finland. This senior front-end role focuses on drafting, negotiating and advising on major construction contracts supporting data centre developments.

You will lead front-end construction matters, work with procurement, commercial and technical teams, and provide commercially minded legal guidance across Nordic and broader European markets.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' PQE or equivalent in front-end construction law.
• Experience drafting and negotiating major construction contracts.
• Knowledge of YSE/KSE contracting frameworks.
• Experience with FIDIC and international contract forms.
• Experience in data centres, infrastructure, energy or similar.
• Ability to lead sophisticated construction matters independently.
• Strong stakeholder management in international projects.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and negotiating construction and engineering contracts for major data centre developments.
• Advising on YSE/KSE, FIDIC and bespoke contracting frameworks.
• Supporting EPC, design-build and subcontracting structures.
• Advising on contractual strategy, project delivery models and risk allocation.
• Reviewing procurement documentation, tender packages and conditions of contract.
• Leading pre-contract negotiations with contractors, consultants and other project counterparties.
• Advising on construction matters across Finland and other European markets.
• Managing external counsel where specialist or local-law advice is required.
• Providing commercially focused legal advice to senior project and business stakeholders.
