Job summary

Rakennuslehti is seeking System Designers to join our HVAC Design team of 26 professionals. You will own system design decisions for multiple ship projects, ensuring economical, regulatory, and qualitative outcomes.

A background in building services engineering and about five years of related experience is expected, with hybrid work options. You’ll work from Helsinki or Turku offices, liaising with suppliers, and supporting production while contributing to full project lifecycles from concept

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering.
• Around five years of experience in building services engineering or shipbuilding.
• Experience with water, sewage/drain, heating, cooling, waste handling, ventilation/AC, fire protection, or humidification systems.
• Strong problem-solving and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Produce drawings for the basic design phase.
• Support purchasing with technical handling of equipment.
• Prepare test programs for designated systems.
• Support production as a systems specialist.
• Coordinate with suppliers on technical matters.
• Resolve design solutions with other designers and production specialists.
• Participate in line organization development activities.
