Job summary

Finnair is seeking a Fleet Transitions Manager to lead aircraft phase-in, phase-out and entry-into-service programs. You will guide a dedicated transition team, ensure safe, compliant transitions, and protect asset value across multi-year projects.

The role collaborates with internal stakeholders and aircraft lessors to deliver high-quality transitions on schedule. Based at Finnair Technical Operations near Helsinki-Vantaa Airport, the position offers a hybrid work model with on-site presence

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum two years leadership experience in managing specialist teams.
• Proven experience in aircraft fleet transitions and handling technical records.
• Experience working with aircraft lessors and other external partners.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Lead aircraft phase-in, phase-out and entry-into-service transition programs.
• Deliver projects in line with scope, schedule, budget and quality targets.
• Provide leadership and technical direction to a specialist transition team.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, contractual and company requirements.
• Maintain long-term aircraft redelivery readiness with focus on records quality.
• Manage technical interface with aircraft lessors during deliveries and redeliveries.
• Support Aircraft Finance with technical input to protect asset value.
• Identify and manage technical and commercial risks in transition projects.
• Coordinate internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Drive continuous improvement and digitalization of transition processes.
