Job description
Overview

We have 70 Alaskan huskies and offer 5 km and 10 km husky safaris for our international guests.

Responsibilities
  • Morning starts with dog care (feeding, grooming, poop scooping and harnessing the dogs, preparing the safaris) and grooming the trails.
  • Maintain and prepare dogs and equipment for safaris, ensure safety of guests and dogs throughout the day.
  • Return dogs to their home kennels after the last safari and provide water and food as needed.
Program options
  • Self-driving: guide drives his/her own dog team in front and customers follow with their own teams.
  • Guided-drive: customers ride as passengers in a guide-driven big sledge.
Work environment
  • Work is hard, physical outdoor labor that requires understanding of working with dogs, customer service skills, good manners, self-confidence, patience, common sense, and the ability to work under pressure and react quickly to changing situations.
