Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Head of Legal for Finland to provide expert legal advice across business units and oversee Baltic activities. The role will report to Head of Legal Europe and implement global strategy while advising local management on legal and integrity issues.

The position offers hybrid work in Helsinki or Vaasa, with occasional domestic and international travel. The successful candidate will lead a direct report and be an active member of the local management team.

Qualifications

• University Law Degree (Master of Law) required.
• Finnish and English language skills.
• Strong interest in technology and process improvement.
• 7–10 years’ experience in major construction/engineering projects with complex international transactions.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal advice to multiple business units, including contracts and tenders.
• Develop effective legal strategies and practical solutions to support business activities.
• Negotiate contract terms with customers, coordinating with risk review processes.
