Job summary

Vaisala is seeking an Electronics Mechanician for the Instrument Factory night shift in the Helsinki area. You will assemble, test, calibrate, inspect and pack high‑tech measurement devices in a fast‑paced environment.

Join a diverse team within a modern production setup and contribute to automated, smart factory processes. English is required; Finnish language is a plus. This is a fixed term contract position with opportunities to learn and grow.

Qualifications

  • Degree in electronics or telecommunication or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working the night shift is required.
  • Mechanical skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in English; Finnish language is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble products according to guidelines.
  • Test, calibrate, inspect and pack products to standards.
  • Report issues to the Team Leader.
  • Follow safety rules and company policies.
  • Assist with inventory counting and corrections.
  • Collaborate with engineers on process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the production area.

We are looking for an Electronics Mechanician to join our Instrument Factory night shift at Vaisala Operations in Vantaa, Finland. This is a fixed term contract. You will have the opportunity to explore the fascinating world of measurement devices, gaining hands‑on experience and valuable insights into our industry-leading solutions.

What’s your role?

You will be part of one of our four diverse teams consisting of 80 energetic professionals. The role of the Electronics Mechanician is to assemble, test, calibrate, inspect and pack products in accordance with established standards. You will report to Team Leader, Instrument Factory.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Assemble products according to guidelines
  • Report issues to the Team Leader
  • Follow company policies, especially safety rules
  • Assist with inventory counting and corrections
  • Collaborate with engineers to implement process improvements
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the production area
Who are we looking for?
  • Degree in electronics or telecommunication, or equivalent experience
  • Experience working the night shift
  • Mechanical skills and strong attention to details
  • Proficiency in English, knowledge of Finnish language is a plus
