DayOne Data Centers Singapore PTE. LTD. in Lahti, Finland, seeks an Electrical Engineering Manager to oversee the electrical infrastructure of our hyperscale data centers.

Lead a team of engineers and technicians, ensure 24/7 operation, safety, and compliance while delivering robust power systems. You will manage design, installation, operation, maintenance of electrical systems, including PDU, UPS, generators, switchgear; coordinate maintenance, work with vendors, and drive strategic

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 7–10 years in electrical engineering with 3–5 years in management.
• Experience in data centers or critical infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of power distribution, UPS, generators, switchgear.
• Proven ability to lead teams in 24/7 operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design, installation, operation, and maintenance of electrical systems in data centers.
• Lead and mentor electrical engineers and technicians for 24/7 operations.
• Plan preventative and corrective maintenance and coordinate with vendors.
• Ensure electrical safety policies and regulatory compliance.

Join the Lahti team early and help shape how a campus of this scale is built, commissioned, and run.As an Electrical Engineering Manager , you oversee the electrical infrastructure and systems of our hyperscale data centres. This role ensures the continuous and efficient operation of electrical systems, upholds high safety and compliance standards. You will lead and mentor a team of electrical engineers and technicians, ensuring the delivery of critical electrical services 24/7.Your Key Responsibilities Will IncludeElectrical System ManagementOversee the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of electrical systems within the data centres.Ensure all electrical infrastructure, including power distribution units, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), generators, and switchgear, operate reliably and efficiently.Implement and maintain electrical safety policies, procedures, and best practices.Team LeadershipLead, mentor, and develop a team of electrical engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.Coordinate with shift teams to ensure seamless 24/7 coverage and effective handovers between shifts.Conduct regular training sessions and performance evaluations to enhance team capabilities and productivity.Maintenance and UpgradesPlan and oversee preventative and corrective maintenance activities, ensuring all electrical equipment and systems are serviced according to manufacturer and company standards.Coordinate with vendors and contractors for electrical maintenance and upgrade projects, ensuring minimal impact on operations.Technical SupportProvide technical expertise and support for electrical systems, including troubleshooting and resolving complex electrical issues.Collaborate with other engineering and operations teams to ensure integrated and efficient system performance.Safety and ComplianceEnsure all electrical operations comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.Maintain up-to-date documentation and records to support compliance audits and certifications.Strategic InitiativesSupport the Critical Services Manager in developing and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance electrical system performance and support business growth.Participate in budget planning and cost management activities to ensure operational efficiency and financial performance.RequirementsTechnical SkillsDegree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably within a data centre or critical infrastructure environment, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role.Strong knowledge of electrical infrastructure, including power distribution, UPS systems, generators, and switchgear, and the ability to manage complex electrical challenges.Proven experience in managing technical teams and 24/7 operations.Soft SkillsEffective communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team.Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
