Overview
Winthrop Technologies is a dedicated data centre delivery partner providing turnkey solutions to clients, headquartered in Dublin and delivering throughout Europe. We specialise in design, construction across civil, structural, architectural, mechanical and electrical services, and commissioning for data centre projects. We are currently constructing multiple turnkey data centre projects in 7 European countries, equating to over 430 MW of IT load in flight. We are seeking an Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join our expanding team in Sandviken, Sweden.
Responsibilities
- Supervise Commissioning related tasks for all Electrical Vendors.
- Ensure compliance with the work scope.
- Monitor delivery of scope and communicate deadlines and Cx programme milestones.
- Supervise and report on Cx Programme and deadline progress.
- Attend Electrical Vendor FATs and FWTs as required.
- Work with UPS, switchgear, generators, MV and BMS controls.
- Organise and contribute to Daily/Weekly Cx meetings with internal teams and vendors.
- Prepare and update weekly Cx Vendor progress reports for submission to Cx management.
- Coordinate with Project QAQC and AP Departments to achieve objectives.
- Track and obtain approval on project Electrical Cx documents (Test Scripts, Compliance statements, etc.).
- Witness vendor Cx activities against project documentation and track CX documentation for sign-off.
- Conduct commissioning tagging processes and day-to-day on-site commissioning operations.
Skills & Qualifications
- Relevant certificates in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering or an Electrical Trade with training/experience (e.g., NVQ).
- Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in a similar role within a construction environment; experience in Commercial, Industrial, pharma or data centre type projects is desirable.
- Experience on LV/MV/HV systems with commissioning experience.
- Electrical testing and verification experience (minimum 3 years).
- Construction experience with safety focus.
- Analytical problem-solving skills and decisive actions.
- Process-driven with focus on EHS and Quality Management Systems and Processes (desirable).
