Job summary

Askolan kunta is seeking an Early Years Teacher for Puolukka Day Care in Askola. Permanent position starting 1 October 2026 or as agreed. Puolukka Day Care operates in Askolan kirkonkylä, with flexible hours 05:00–22:00 to meet family needs.

The teacher will create a child-centered learning environment, plan and evaluate pedagogical care and education in cooperation with children, guardians and staff, and engage in self-evaluation to improve quality and effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Qualification as an early childhood education teacher under the Finnish Act on ECE (540/2018) Section 26.
• Excellent collaboration, communication and teamwork skills.
• Good Finnish oral and written skills.

Job description

Askolan municipality is looking for an early years teacher for Puolukka Day Care, for a permanent position starting 1 October 2026 or as agreed. Puolukka Day Care operates in Askolan kirkonkylä in cozy rooms renovated in 2010. The day care has 34 places and we work in a sibling group with flexible opening hours, from 05:00 to 22:00 according to family needs, including weekends.
