Job summary

Tampere University invites applications for a Doctoral Researcher position in the Bioinspired Materials and Robotics group at Hervanta Campus. The role is full-time, 3-year fixed-term, contributing to soft robotics, microfluidics and embedded sensing.

You will design and model microfluidic networks, develop CAD tools, and participate in building and testing devices within a Horizon Europe project, supervised by MET faculty.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree completed before start date.
• Experience in microfabrication and microfluidic device fabrication.
• Fluent English with ability to supervise students.

Responsibilities

• Design and model microfluidic channel networks.
• Create CAD tools for microfluidic systems and participate in device fabrication.
• Build and test soft robotic devices within a Horizon Europe project.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary MET faculty and research team.
