Job summary

Danfoss Drives is seeking a senior technical leader to define the direction for a platform used by 500+ developers. You will influence embedded software build, test, and release processes at scale, connecting DevOps, data, and AI to create an intelligent development ecosystem in a hybrid setup across Graasten, Vaasa, Kolding, or Tampere.

In this hands-on role you mentor engineers, set standards, and drive CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, and data tooling to accelerate delivery while ensuring quality

Qualifications

• Lead DevOps or platform engineering initiatives in large-scale environments.
• Strong coding and scripting skills in Python, Bash, PowerShell, and at least one language such as Go, Rust, or C#.
• Experience with private/public cloud platforms, CI/CD, and Lakehouse platforms like Databricks.

The Impact You'll Make

You will shape the future of software development at Danfoss Drives by defining the technical direction for a platform used by more than 500 developers. Your work will directly improve how embedded software is built, tested, and released—at scale. In this role, you will connect DevOps, data, and AI to create an intelligent development ecosystem. You will enable faster delivery, better quality, and smarter automation through a modern data platform and AI‑ready semantic layer. This is a hands‑on senior technical role, where you influence through expertise, mentorship, and strong engineering standards—playing a key role in transforming a large‑scale development platform for the future. Based in a hybrid setup in Graasten, Vaasa, Kolding, or Tampere, you will collaborate closely with distributed engineering teams.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Set technical direction and standards for DevOps services to improve engineering quality and platform consistency
• Build and evolve a data platform and semantic layer to make engineering data accessible and usable for AI‑driven insights and automation
• Optimize cloud‑based development infrastructure to ensure scalability, reliability, security, and cost efficiency
• Design and improve CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code to increase speed, stability, and developer productivity
• Mentor engineers and collaborate across teams to strengthen technical capabilities and drive platform adoption

What We’re Looking For

• Educational background in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, combined with proven experience leading DevOps or platform engineering initiatives in large‑scale, complex environments
• Strong coding and scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell, plus one general‑purpose language such as Go, Rust, or C#)
• Hands‑on experience with private and public and cloud platforms (HPE‑GLPC, Azure, GCP), CI/CD platforms (ADO, Gitlab, Github) and containerized workloads, Agentic AI harnesses (Github Copilot SDK et. al.) and Lakehouse platforms (Databricks, Spark,,)
• Ability to design and evolve scalable architectures and work with distributed systems and multiple integrated platforms
• Strong communication and technical guidance skills, with the ability to mentor and influence without formal people management responsibilities
