Job summary

DNV Cyber is seeking a Detection Engineer to join our Customer Delivery Unit within Security Operations. You will design and implement detection capabilities for SIEM and XDR and contribute to innovative tooling that strengthens client security postures.

You will work with Microsoft Sentinel and other technologies, writing Python or KQL scripts, and collaborating with security professionals to deliver high-end services to our clients with a strong focus on value delivery and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Experience with SIEM and XDR technologies such as Microsoft security stack.
• Experience with scripting/programming languages and queries (Python or PowerShell, KQL).
• Customer communication to deliver cyber security value to clients.
• Genuine passion for cybersecurity and eagerness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement advanced detection capabilities for SIEM/XDR.
• Create logic-based and ML-based detection rules for SIEM/XDR products.
• Develop tools and automated solutions to enhance SOC effectiveness.
• Collaborate with security professionals to deliver high-end services to clients.
