Overview

We are looking for two Maintenance Engineers for our client XTX Markets Technologies at their data centre in Kajaani. This is a full-time, permanent position. The workplace is located in Kajaani, and relocation support is available if needed.

Responsibilities

At XTX Markets, you’ll have the opportunity to work with high-end technology in a dynamic team. You’ll be involved in both commissioning new data centres and maintaining existing ones. The role requires on-call availability and occasional overtime. The selected candidate will be directly employed by XTX Markets. Barona Engineering is the recruitment partner.

Your responsibilities include:

• Maintenance and operation of electrical, HVAC, cooling, automation, and other systems.
• Supporting HPC infrastructure (e.g., servers, switches) installation and maintenance.
• Planning and coordinating preventive maintenance, inspections, testing, and repairs.
• Communicating with stakeholders about planned maintenance, outages, or operational changes.
• Supporting infrastructure and cooling capacity planning, usage evaluation, and upgrade needs.
• Developing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the data centre.

Qualifications

We hope you have:

• A degree in electrical, mechanical, or automation engineering (BSc/MSc).
• Several years of experience in similar maintenance roles, preferably in a data centre environment.
• Strong understanding of power distribution, cooling systems, automation/building management systems, fire detection, and security technologies.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in English is required. Proficiency in Finnish is considered an asset.
