Academic Work Finland Oy is assisting a manufacturing client to hire a data engineer focused on AI and automation. You will work with raw data from local servers and multiple sources to build, optimize, and scale smart solutions across production facilities.

You will design data pipelines and workflows in Databricks, forecast resource needs, and collaborate with teams and stakeholders to ensure solutions meet real-world manufacturing and supply chain needs.

Competenze

• Excellent knowledge in SQL and Databricks.
• Hands-on experience in building AI solutions and working with different frameworks (e.g., Copilot, Claude).
• Understanding of general business processes (experience in supply chain and process industry is asset).
• Strong collaboration skills and innovative/solution-oriented approach.

About the role

In this position, you will play a key role in driving high-value AI and automation initiatives within a modern manufacturing environment. You will work extensively with raw data from local servers and multiple sources to build, optimize, and scale smart solutions across production facilities. You will focus on developing and expanding factory automations, handling raw data, cleaning master data, and building models for forecasts. You will also design and execute data pipelines and workflows within Databricks.

You will collaborate closely with your team and business stakeholders to ensure solutions meet real-world manufacturing and supply chain needs.
