Job summary

Capgemini in Helsinki is seeking a Data Engineer to join our Insights & Data practice. You will design and implement cloud data platforms on a cutting-edge technology stack and work as part of a global network of data experts to deliver scalable analytics and AI services.

Qualifications

Your role

Do data pipelines, data migrations and cloud data platforms belong to your comfort zone? Do you master the relevant data tools to enable scalable analytics and AI services?
We are looking for a Junior or Senior Data Engineer to join our team. As a member of our Insights & Data practice, you will be part of a global network of data experts and work to design and implement cloud data platforms on a cutting-edge technology stack.
Your role will be defined based on your experience and interests, possibilities varying from hands-on implementation work to designing data and solution architectures.

Your profile

• Strong hands-on experience as a Data Engineer in designing and implementing Azure-based ETL solutions and scalable data pipelines. (experience with AWS or Google Cloud is an advantage)
• Experience with Databricks and other modern Lakehouse platforms
• Good hands-on skills with SQL, PySpark and Python
• Deeper understanding of data warehousing concepts and experience in implementing dimensional based models
• Practical experience with CI/CD practices and related tools (e.g. Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar)
• Strong communication skills with the ability to bridge business, data, and technology, translating customer needs into trusted technical solutions

Beneficial skills

• Previous experience as a Data Architect is an advantage
• Experience in Snowflake
• Experience in reporting tools, such as Power BI, Qlik, etc.
• Data integration and processing tools such as Informatica or SSIS
• Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform, Ansible, or AWS CloudFormation
• Data modeling and data governance (e.g. data catalogs, metadata management, data quality frameworks, or tools such as Azure Purview, Collibra, Alation)
• Information security and privacy considerations related to cloud solutions
• Hands on experience with Java

About you

• Passion for learning, exploring, and developing your expertise.
• Fluent communication and presentations skills in Finnish.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another relevant field.
• Ability to work independently with customers - previous consulting experience is a plus.

The salary range applicable to this position is determined based on the role’s level of responsibility, as well as the selected candidate’s skills and experience, in line with fair and transparent pay principles. In addition to the fixed monthly salary, a variable incentive applies to senior level roles and will be discussed more in depth in the further steps of the process.
Junior level salary range: approximately 3500–5000 € / month
Senior level salary range: approximately 5000–6500 € /month
