Job summary

Nebius B.V. is seeking a Facilities Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team and oversee maintenance, capital projects, and vendor performance across mission-critical facilities in Finland. The role emphasizes sustainability, risk management, and operational excellence.

The successful candidate will have 7+ years in critical facilities, 3+ years in leadership, and relevant certifications. Fluent English is required; Finnish language skills are beneficial.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operation of critical facility infrastructure and ensure uptime of MEP and life-safety systems.
• Mentor and develop Engineers and Technicians; manage shifts, training and evaluations.
• Develop preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance; CMMS planning and lifecycle monitoring.
• Oversee electrical distribution, UPS, standby gens, AHUs, BMS, fire and security systems.
• Ensure compliance with Finnish safety law, EU directives; manage PTW/LOTO; investigations and inspections.
• Manage budgets, contracts, KPIs, and procurement support.
• Track metrics like MTTR, MTBF, PUE, energy use, and safety.

Job description

The Facilities Manager leads a multidisciplinary team of technicians and contractors, oversees maintenance and capital projects, manages vendor performance, and drives operational excellence through continuous improvement, sustainability initiatives, and proactive risk management.

Key Responsibilities

• Critical Facilities Operations: Lead day-to-day operation of all critical facility infrastructure; ensure availability and reliability of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems; maintain SLAs and uptime; support 24/7 operations with incident response and escalation; ensure SOPs, EOPs, and MOPs are current and followed.
• Leadership & Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop Critical Facilities Engineers and Technicians; manage shift schedules, staffing, training and evaluations; foster safety and teamwork; coordinate contractor activities.
• Maintenance & Asset Management: Develop preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance; CMMS planning; monitor lifecycle; plan replacements; minimize downtime.
• Infrastructure Management: Oversee electrical distribution, UPS, standby gens, ATS, chillers, AHUs, pumps, heat exchangers, BMS, fire and security systems.
• Health, Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with Finnish occupational safety law, EU directives; manage PTW/LOTO; incident investigations; inspections.
• Financial & Vendor Management: Budgeting, contracts, KPIs, procurement support.
• Reporting: Track metrics like MTTR, MTBF, PUE, energy use, safety.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Building Services; Master’s preferred.

Experience: 7+ years in critical facilities; 3+ years leadership; desirable: hyperscale datacenters, hospitals, or industrial ops.

Certifications: ATS or similar, PMP/PRINCE2, Työturvallisuuskortti, Tulityökortti, EA1; Fluent English; Finnish beneficial.
