Job summary

AiCan - Happy People Oy is seeking à la carte cooks for the winter season in Jämsä, Himokselle, at Laaksoravintola Loiva. The newly opened hotel-and-restaurant complex offers a 180-seat restaurant on the hotel’s first floor and a terrace with slopes.

You will prepare breakfast, lunch, à la carte and various events, with duties tailored to your skills. Hours are negotiable, with a minimum of 60 hours per 3 weeks. Housing assistance provided; on-site stay possible during shifts.

Job description

We are seeking à la carte cooks for the winter season in Jämsä, Himokselle, at Laaksoravintola Loiva, part of AiCan - Happy People Oy.

The newly opened hotel-and-restaurant complex (November 2025) spans three properties with a 180-seat restaurant on the hotel’s first floor and an surrounding terrace offering views of the slopes.

The role involves preparing breakfast, lunch, à la carte, and various events, with duties tailored to your skills.

Requirements:

• customer-facing confidence, vocational training, a cheerful and resilient attitude, prior experience in an à la carte kitchen, and the ability to work under pressure with flexibility.

The work starts as agreed in November/December 2026 and continues until Easter 2027, with possible continuation beyond the winter.

Hours are negotiable, with a minimum of 60 hours per 3 weeks.

Pay is according to the collective agreement and your competence.

We can assist with housing and, if desired, you may live off-site (e.g., Jyväskylä or Tampere) and stay on-site during shifts.
