Job summary

Global Certification & Verification Group is seeking a commissioning specialist in Helsinki to manage and supervise the electrical and automation commissioning activities onsite. You will coordinate between the Owner and Contractor, review designs, supervise testing, and ensure documentation is completed promptly.

The role requires 2+ years in a similar commissioning position, fluent English, and proficiency in MS Office.

Overview of Position

• Attend Commissioning meetings.
• Act promptly on items of work indicated in commissioning meeting minutes.
• Work with other team members to complete the commissioning schedule.
• Provide required documentation in a timely manner.
• Cooperate with the other commissioning team members to complete the project as efficiently as possible.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage smooth commissioning of the project by coordinating between the Owner and the Contractor.
• Supervise and approve commissioning plans in accordance with project guidelines.
• Review designs and supervise onsite commissioning activities.
• Prepare and maintain records of site observations, testing processes and checklists.
• Monitor installation, submittals and usage of engineering tools adhering to project and guidelines.
• Witness testing processes and motivate specialists to achieve standard results.
• Assist with identification and rectification of commissioning deficiencies.
• Track and review progress through meetings.
• Compile commission report data for summarizing.
• Assist in summarizing and updating records.
• Schedule and supervise operational reviews in association with functional staff.

• Attain customer satisfaction through adhering to project guidelines.

• Review the installed electrical work to determine if it is in accordance with the design documents.
• Review electrical testing forms completed by the contractor to ensure they appropriately documented and signed off.
• Assist with coordination of electrical commissioning.
• Perform periodic inspections of the commissioning progress.
• Maintain a deficiency list of electrical issues identified during the site visits.
• Report to the Commissioning Manager.

Required Skills EPMS BAS SCADA

• Reviews the installed automation work to determine if it is in accordance with the design documents.
• Reviews functional testing checklists completed by the Contractor.
• Assists with coordination of the automation.
• Assists with shutdown planning for automation migration (if required).
• Performs periodic inspections of the commissioning progress.
• Reports to the commissioning Manager.

Education and Experience

• At least 2 years working in a similar role.
• Verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
