Job summary

VPS Henkilöstöpalvelu in Kaavi, North Savo, Finland, seeks a skilled CNC Machinist to operate and set CNC machines, read ISO/G‑code from drawings, and produce parts with Haas, Fanuc or Mazatrol controls in a two‑shift, 40‑hour week.

You will measure components, adjust tools, and work on a modern machine park with the option to develop your machining skills. We offer a permanent, full‑time contract, salary from €14.87/hour gross plus shift allowances and affordable accommodation.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of CNC machining experience with machining centres (experience with CNC lathes is an advantage).
• Good knowledge of reading ISO/G-code and technical drawings; ability to use measuring tools accurately.
• Independent working style; willing to work in a 2-shift system; motivated to develop machining skills; knowledge of Fanuc, Haas and Mazatrol controls.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set CNC machines and machine components according to drawings and dimensions.
• Set tools, machining parameters and adjust machines; measure components to ensure quality.
• Change tools and make machine adjustments; monitor several machines in operation; follow ISO/G-code programs.

Job description

CNC Machinist for Kaavi, North Savo, Finland.

Our client manufactures machined components for the forestry and mining industries, including fuel and hydraulic tanks. Production is varied with different component sizes and both small batches and individual pieces.

Your responsibilities

Your work will include operating and setting CNC machines, machining components according to technical drawings and specified dimensions, setting tools and machining parameters, measuring components and ensuring quality, changing tools and making machine adjustments, operating several machines simultaneously when required. All machines are operated using ISO/G-code. Horizontal and vertical Machining centres, with Haas, Fanuc and Mazatrol controllers. Experience with CNC Lathes is advantage (Y-axis CNC lathes, sub-spindles, bar feeders).
