Job summary

SEB Sweden is seeking a Cloud Data Engineer to join our Regulatory team within Trading Technology. You will help extend our cloud-based data warehouse to support trading activities and collaborate across requirements, testing, development and deployment.

You will work in a cross-functional team, coach peers, and contribute to design decisions in a fast-paced, agile environment. A hybrid model with remote work is supported.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of data engineering experience.
• Cloud-based data integration, modelling and pipelines.
• Proficiency in SQL and programming, preferably Python.
• Skills in testing and test automation.

About the role

As a cloud data engineer, you will collaborate with our Regulatory business to drive development in our high-priority trading area. You will help enhance our cloud-based data warehouse to support our trading business. As part of our cross-functional team, you will work across requirements, testing, development and deployment, engaging stakeholders in discussions about solutions. You will also collaborate with fellow developers through coaching, code reviews, and design decisions.

To thrive in this role, we believe you have:

• At least 3 years of data engineering experience
• Cloud-based data integration, modelling and pipelines
• Proficiency in SQL and programming, preferably Python
• Skills in testing and test automation

Considered merterious:

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform or other cloud providers
• Experience with BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Run, PubSub and Cloud Storage
• Experience with Dataform/dbt and Airflow
• Knowledge of data management/data mesh
• GCP Professional Cloud Data Engineer certification or equivalent

You will join our Regulatory team of 11 highly collaborative members, where everyone contributes across the full development lifecycle. We work in an agile setup following SEB’s guidelines, with daily stand-ups, regular reviews, and retrospectives that support continuous improvement.

The team is responsible for two applications, both under active and continuous development.
