Job summary

Lieksan Sataman Grillitupa in Lieksa, Finland is hiring a Chinese Cuisine Cook / Restaurant Worker for a permanent full-time role. You will primarily prepare Chinese dishes but also assist in other daily restaurant operations, from kitchen tasks to cashier duties and cleaning.

We expect experience in Chinese cooking, ability to independently prepare dishes from prep to finish, and strong hygiene standards. The position offers full-time hours under the MaRa–PAM collective agreement with English

Qualifications

• Experience in Chinese cooking.
• Ability to independently prepare Chinese dishes from prep to finished food.
• Good practical skills in handling ingredients, preparation and cooking.
• Ability to prepare food for larger groups of customers.
• Interest in designing and developing new Chinese dishes.
• Careful, responsible and motivated approach to work.
• Good hygiene and food safety practices.
• Flexibility and willingness to perform different restaurant duties.
• Good teamwork skills.
• Previous professional experience in restaurant or kitchen work is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Chinese dishes.
• Handle, cut and prepare ingredients.
• Prepare cold and hot dishes.
• Independently prepare food for larger groups.
• Design and develop 4–5 new Chinese dishes per year.
• Develop the Chinese menu with the employer.
• Prepare hamburgers, French fries and other grill/fast-food items.
• Manage cashier duties and customer service.
• Wash dishes.
• Clean and maintain kitchen and restaurant.
• Arrange and restock ingredients and other products.
• Perform other daily duties in a small restaurant.
