Job summary

Wärtsilä is seeking a Chief Project Engineer (CPE), Cyber Security to lead OT cyber security across its power plant automation and control systems. The role focuses on integrating cyber security requirements into engineering, project execution, commissioning and lifecycle support.

The position supports global delivery with travel up to 20% and offers a hybrid work arrangement in Finland (Helsinki, Turku or Vaasa). The ideal candidate has strong project leadership and deep OT security expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Strong understanding of OT cyber security, critical infrastructure environments, and product security requirements.
• Experience with cyber security standards, regulations and compliance frameworks such as IEC 62443, NIS2, NERC CIP, EU CRA, SOC2.

Responsibilities

• Act as Chief Project Engineer on cyber security for engine power plant automation & control systems for sales, delivery projects and site support.
• Translate global/regional regulations into specifications and actionable items for products.
• Drive secure and compliant project deliveries across Wärtsilä's portfolio and support cyber security across lifecycle.
