Job summary

Independent Home Health is seeking dependable, compassionate caregivers to provide one-on-one, non-medical care in clients' homes around Helsinki. You’ll build a meaningful relationship and help clients stay safe, comfortable, and independent at home.

No professional caregiving experience required. If you’re reliable, patient and enjoy helping others, we’d love to talk. Flexible scheduling and both full-time and part-time cases available with competitive pay of $15–$17 per hour.

Qualifications

• Be 18 years of age or older
• Have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Be dependable, caring and patient
• Previous caregiving experience is welcome but not required

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, dressing and grooming
• Help with mobility and everyday activities
• Prepare meals
• Complete light housekeeping
• Provide companionship and conversation
• Assist with errands or appointments when needed
• Follow the individual’s care plan
• Document the services you provide

Pay

• $15/hour – Waiver cases
• $16 to $17/hour – VA and Private Pay cases

What You’ll Do

Depending on the needs of the individual you’re supporting, you may:

• Assist with bathing, dressing and grooming
• Help with mobility and everyday activities

• Provide companionship and conversation

What We’re Looking For

You must:

• Be 18 years of age or older
• Have a valid driver’s license
• Have reliable transportation
• Be able to complete required background checks
• Be dependable, caring and patient

Previous caregiving experience is welcome, but it is not required.

Experience as a caregiver, direct care worker, personal care aide, home health aide, PCA, HHA or CNA is a plus.
