Job summary

Linear, a Finnish SaaS company, is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to turn data into growth opportunities. You will develop reporting for the SaaS product using Power BI, SQL and Excel, and work directly with customers to translate their needs into practical BI solutions.

We are looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst who combines hands-on BI skills with commercial curiosity. Someone who wants to join Linear not just for the role, but for what they are building together. A person who wants to understand customers, challenge existing solutions, and take real ownership of what reporting and analytics could become at Linear.

What will you be doing?

Your initial focus will be on developing the reporting capabilities within Linear's SaaS product for its customers. You will work hands-on with Power BI, SQL, and Excel to build reporting solutions that help customers understand their business and make better use of their data.

You will also work directly with customers to understand their challenges, ask the right questions, and turn business needs into practical and visually appealing BI solutions.

You will have considerable freedom to shape how reporting develops - from identifying what customers actually need to building and productizing solutions that can serve a growing international customer base.

As Linear grows, so can your role. You can take increasing ownership of the BI product, contribute to its commercial development, and eventually help build a broader analytics offering around it.

We expect you to have:

• Professional experience with Power BI and the ability to independently build practical BI solutions
• Good SQL skills and an understanding of databases and working with data
• Ability to connect hands-on BI work with customer and business needs
• A proactive and independent approach to solving problems and taking ownership in a fast-evolving growth company environment
• A mindset oriented towards business and growth
• Professional proficiency in English and Finnish and the ability to work directly with clients in Finnish

• Understanding of performance optimization for large datasets

Practicalities:

This is a full-time and permanent position, and you will be employed directly by Linear. The ideal start time in the role is as soon as possible. The role will be located in Helsinki, and we hope you are able to visit the office from time to time as part of a flexible hybrid model, especially during the onboarding phase.
