Job summary

Project Researcher position is available in the research group of Professor Jukka Westermarck at Turku Bioscience Centre, University of Turku, starting on 1 January 2027 (or as agreed) until the end of December 2029. The main task is to support experimental work in on-going research projects and to participate in data analysis, possibly including laboratory animal work.

The ideal candidate has MSc in natural sciences with hands-on experience in biochemistry and cell lines, and strong English

Qualifications

• MS in natural sciences is required.
• Solid hands-on experience with biochemical experiments and cell lines.
• English skills are essential; Finnish language knowledge is an asset but not required.
• Ability to learn new techniques and work well in an international environment.

Responsibilities

• Support experimental work in ongoing projects and assist data analysis.
• Collaborate with experienced researchers and possibly perform animal work.
• Maintain and develop laboratory routines and techniques.
