Qualifications

• Experience in pyrolysis, biomass, thermal processing, carbon materials or related process industry.
• Strong practical project-execution capability.
• Understanding of feedstock variability, thermal yields and product quality.
• Ability to lead technology suppliers and plant start-ups.

Responsibilities

• Lead rapid deployment of first biochar plants and later development of the production network.
• Compare and select pyrolysis technologies.
• Evaluate suppliers, references and performance guarantees.
• Characterise feedstocks and manage feedstock-to-char yields.
• Control biochar quality for different end uses.
• Develop applications for fields, Great Green Wall, mine rehabilitation and concrete.
• Lead plant commissioning and ramp-up.
