Job summary

City of Helsinki is seeking Early Childhood Education Teachers for public daycares in Helsinki. This permanent, full-time position includes a competitive starting salary, language training in Finnish, relocation assistance and an apartment option.

You will join a team focused on high-quality, play-based learning for children aged 0-6 in an inclusive setting. Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s in ECE, have English at least B2, and be eligible to work in Finland.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education is required.
• Proficiency in English at least level B2 is required.
• Right to work in Finland (EU/EEA) or equivalent.
• Willingness to learn Finnish language prior to employment and relocation.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and assess play-based learning activities.
• Lead your group’s pedagogical work with childcare nurses.
• Observe and document children’s learning and development.
• Create and update individual learning plans with families.
• Collaborate with colleagues and multidisciplinary professionals.
• Design inspiring learning environments indoors and outdoors.
