Job summary

Hoxhunt in Helsinki is looking for a Security Engineer, SecOps to mature our security monitoring into an automation-first operations capability. You will own detections, observability, and response, and translate customer requirements into features and policy proposals with the help of our existing tooling (Vanta) and security answers.

You’ll collaborate with engineering and SRE teams to implement SAST/DAST/SCA, manage vulnerabilities end-to-end, and drive secure development practices.

Qualifications

• Hands-on security engineering and automation experience.
• Ability to translate security requirements into product features.
• Experience with cloud-native security and IAM least-privilege.
• Familiarity with incident response and threat detection.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve security monitoring end-to-end with detections and alerting.
• Develop security observability dashboards and telemetry.
• Coordinate vulnerability management across engineering teams.
• Strengthen cloud security architecture including IAM and network controls.
• Translate customer security needs into concrete features and policies.
• Integrate SAST/DAST/SCA and secrets scanning in pipelines.
• Measure effectiveness with MTTD, false positives, and backtesting.
