Airfreight Specialist

Are you passionate about building business, driving performance, and delivering high-quality Airfreight solutions?

We are looking for an experienced operationally- and commercially driven Airfreight specialist manage and develop our airfreight product in Finland.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient operational execution while building a strong and scalable setup that supports growth and customer satisfaction. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to secure operational excellence, performance, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive local business development by identifying market opportunities and developing competitive products and solutions that create value for customers.
• Manage the daily airfreight operations within the assigned country/cluster, ensuring efficient execution and high service quality.
• Drive operational performance and follow-up through financial KPIs, month-end activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage carrier relationships and local procurement activities to ensure competitiveness and operational excellence.
• Manage pricing activities across ad-hoc shipments and tender processes.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, compliance standards, and internal governance.
• Collaborate closely with airfreight colleagues and internal stakeholders across functions to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.

We are looking for:

An experienced freight forwarder and business professional with a strong background in airfreight and a passion for developing both business and relationships. You enjoy operating in a dynamic environment where commercial decisions, operational execution, and collaboration go hand in hand. You are motivated by taking ownership, driving change, and creating sustainable growth.

To be successful in this role, we believe you bring the following:

• Solid experience from the airfreight industry with a strong understanding of market dynamics and customer needs.
• Proven experience managing business performance, commercial activities, or operational responsibility with a strong customer focus.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to balance strategic thinking and hands‑on execution.
• Experience building relationships and collaborating across internal and external stakeholder groups.
• Strong analytical and decision‑making skills with the ability to drive initiatives and deliver results.
• Excellent communication skills and professional proficiency in English; Nordic language skills are considered an advantage.
