SystemsAccountants is seeking a Workday Financials Project Manager to lead a Madrid-based finance transformation programme. The role focuses on Workday Financials optimisation, localisation, change management, and complex integrations with external systems.

You will manage governance, delivery milestones, and drive adoption across multiple business and technology workstreams, partnering with internal teams and external vendors in a fast-paced environment.

• Proven localisation delivery experience with Workday Financials in Spain and Europe.
• Strong finance transformation and post-implementation optimisation experience.
• Experience delivering complex integrations between Workday and external systems.
• Fluent Spanish and English.

Workday Financials Project Manager | Madrid | 12-Month FTC

Location: Madrid (minimum 3 days per week onsite)

Contract: 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract

Languages: Fluent Spanish and English

We are supporting a major organisation seeking an experienced Workday Financials Project Manager to lead the next phase of a large-scale finance transformation programme.

This role will focus on Workday Financials optimisation, localisation, change management, and complex integrations with external and enterprise systems. We are looking for a hands-on delivery leader who can manage challenging stakeholder groups, drive accountability, build consensus, and ensure successful delivery across multiple business and technology workstreams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Workday Financials optimisation, enhancement, and integration initiatives
• Drive stakeholder alignment across Finance, Technology, Operations, HR, and external partners
• Manage programme governance, planning, risks, dependencies, and delivery milestones
• Lead change management, business readiness, and user adoption activities
• Coordinate internal teams, vendors, and implementation partners
• Provide regular updates to senior leadership and steering committees

Required Experience

• Proven localisation delivery experience with Workday Financials programmes or projects in Spain and wider European countries
• Strong background in finance transformation and post-implementation optimisation
• Experience delivering complex integrations between Workday and external systems
• Excellent project and programme management skills
• Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, with experience navigating complex environments
• Strong change management and business adoption experience
• Experience within financial services, insurance, banking, or other regulated sectors
• Fluent Spanish and English.
