Job summary

GE Vernova, The Energy to Change the World, seeks a Converter, Cooling & Electrical Engineer for Barcelona or Saint-Herblain to join the Renewables Wind team and help turbines operate at peak performance.

You will provide advanced technical expertise on converters, cooling and electrical systems, diagnose performance issues, support field teams, and drive improvements to minimize downtime and maximize reliability across our wind fleet.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
Proven experience with wind turbine electrical systems and converters.

Responsibilities

Optimize converter performance through diagnostics and monitoring to reduce turbine downtime.
Drive technical resolution of turbine trips and provide actionable instructions to field teams.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (EHS, Quality, Sourcing) to ensure safe and high-quality repairs.
Develop long-term technical strategies to increase self-reliance in converter systems.
Report investigation outcomes to internal stakeholders and customers to maintain transparency.
