Vice-President of Marketing

We are seeking an accomplished Vice-President of Marketing at STS (www.sts-certified.com) to play a pivotal role in shaping and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to drive business growth, elevate brand visibility, and enhance the customer experience across the globe. This leadership position is based in Madrid and reports directly to the CEO.

Position Overview

The Vice-President of Marketing is responsible for leading the overall marketing strategy, execution, and performance across all channels and regions. This role involves designing and implementing marketing plans that align with business objectives, strengthening brand positioning, and ensuring effective demand generation. The Marketing Vice-President will oversee digital marketing, product marketing, communications, and customer experience initiatives, while fostering cross‑functional collaboration with Sales, Product, and Leadership teams. They will play a key role in driving brand visibility, customer engagement, and market growth through data‑driven decision‑making and strategic leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Brand Strategy & Leadership: Define and lead the company’s global brand architecture, unique value proposition, and messaging framework across all Business Units.
  • Brand Consistency & Reputation: Ensure clarity and consistency across channels, regions, and customer touchpoints, strengthening corporate presence through thought leadership, content strategy, PR, events, and strategic communications.
  • Go-to-Market & Sales Enablement: Develop unified go‑to‑market strategies, align BU marketing plans with business priorities, and support Sales with compelling value propositions, portfolio messaging, and enablement tools.
  • Market & Competitive Insights: Lead global market research, industry trend analysis, competitive intelligence, and Voice of Customer mechanisms to inform strategic priorities and decisions.
  • Demand Generation & Digital Marketing: Build and oversee multi‑channel demand generation (inbound, ABM, digital, events), define funnel KPIs, drive digital visibility, engagement, and campaign performance using analytics, SEO, and marketing automation.
  • Customer Experience & Loyalty: Establish corporate CX standards, monitor satisfaction, and support initiatives to enhance loyalty, retention, and long‑term client relationships.
  • Team Leadership & Governance: Lead and develop a high‑performing marketing organization, including external partners, establishing processes, KPIs, tools, and budgets while fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certification, such as from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of the renewables sector or advisory and TIC (Testing, Inspection, and Certification) industries is a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in marketing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Fluent level of English (equivalent to C1 or C2 level, operational proficiency, advanced level).
