TopRecroot in Madrid is seeking an Investment Associate / Principal to work closely with the investment team across sourcing, evaluation and execution of opportunities, and to support portfolio companies.

The role covers sourcing, market and financial analysis, developing investment theses, due diligence, and preparing recommendations, while building relationships with founders and the broader ecosystem in Spain.

• Conducting market, company and competitive analysis

• Preparing investment committee materials and investment recommendations
• Supporting due diligence and transaction execution
• Monitoring and supporting portfolio companies following investment
• Building relationships with founders, entrepreneurs, investors and other ecosystem participants
• Contributing to the continued development of the platform and its network in Spain

We are working with a venture capital investment platform focused on early-stage technology companies in Spain.

The team is looking to add an Investment Associate / Principal who will work closely with the investment team across sourcing, evaluation and execution of new investment opportunities, as well as supporting portfolio companies.

The Role

The successful candidate will be involved across the investment lifecycle, including:

• Sourcing and evaluating early-stage investment opportunities within the Spanish ecosystem
• Conducting market, company and competitive analysis
• Developing investment theses and supporting financial analysis
• Preparing investment committee materials and investment recommendations
• Supporting due diligence and transaction execution
• Monitoring and supporting portfolio companies following investment
• Building relationships with founders, entrepreneurs, investors and other ecosystem participants
• Contributing to the continued development of the platform and its network in Spain

Given the early-stage focus and relatively small investment tickets, the role offers broad exposure to the investment process, with a significant emphasis on sourcing, company assessment and relationships with founders.
