B. Braun in Barcelona seeks a Usability Engineer to support usability engineering, regulatory documentation, and use-related safety for medical software and hospital workflows. You will work with cross-functional teams across development, regulatory and UX/UI to ensure a compliant, user-centric platform.

Qualifications

• Degree in Human Factors Engineering or related field.
• Several years of usability engineering experience in medical devices or regulated healthcare environments.
• Experience with IEC 62366-1, ISO 14971, and FDA human factors guidance.

Responsibilities

• Plan and drive usability engineering activities across the product lifecycle.
• Create and maintain usability engineering documentation for medical software and regulatory submissions.
• Plan, conduct, analyse, and document formative and summative usability evaluations.
• Derive user-oriented requirements from research and maintain traceability.
• Collaborate with QA, regulatory and UX/UI teams to ensure compliant usability.
• Identify use-related risks and contribute to risk management.
• Support integration of existing certified products and establish usability approaches for new applications.
• Apply company design guidelines to ensure a consistent user experience.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, product owners, developers and regulatory experts.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve usability and user safety.
