A leading provider of Real Estate Finance seeks an Associate in Gijón, Spain. You will manage transactions in Development Finance, oversee the due diligence process, and collaborate with clients and stakeholders. Ideal candidates will be fluent in Spanish and English, have experience with finance documents, and possess strong mathematical skills. This is a key role in a growing European footprint.

Formación

  • Fluent in both Spanish and English.
  • Experience in finance and security document review.

We have been retained by a leading provider of Real Estate Finance in their search for an Associate. Our client has a track record of funding over 7 billion Euros of real estate projects and offers a range of structured credit solutions across Bridging Finance, Development Finance, and bespoke Lending Solutions.

They are increasing and investing in their European footprint, and this is a key hire reporting into the Global Head of Underwriting and working closely with a range of senior, board-level stakeholders.

In this role, you will be a key part of the underwriting team, managing transactions across the lifespan of a Development Finance facility, with a focus on Spanish, UK, and European markets.

Key duties
  • Lead and coordinate the overall due diligence / underwriting process
  • Review initial deal information and prepare financial models in accordance with internal policies to share terms with clients
  • Produce key underwriting documentation, in particular, detailed credit applications, with direction from Deal Originators and support from the Deal Execution team
  • Review professional reports with the Head of Credit
  • Coordinate and lead communication with clients and stakeholders
  • Attend client meetings and contribute to new business development activities
Required experience, skills and characteristics
  • Spanish & English speaker
  • Experience coordinating with solicitors and reviewing finance / security documents
  • Degree educated; further education pertaining to property and real estate is a plus
  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients and brokers
  • Excellent mathematical understanding and problem-solving skills
