Allianz Commercial is seeking an experienced Underwriter to join our Madrid team. You will steer and control the local portfolio, collaborate with the Head of Liability, and help drive financial targets for mid-corporate clients.

You will liaise with functional areas to review end-to-end underwriting life cycle, ensure discipline and governance, and apply pricing knowledge with strong market analysis. Fluency in English and Spanish is required, and Office 365 skills are essential.

• Experience with PI / D&O / Cyber Risks / Legal Expenses.
• Strong data analytics skills and ability to translate insights into actions.
• Ability to communicate local strategy externally and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Steer and control the portfolio at local level in conjunction with the Head of Liability to drive the achievement of financial targets.

• Proactively liaise with functional areas to review performance of end to end underwriting life cycle.
• Ensure underwriting consistency and underwriting discipline and adherence to all corporate guidelines and authority levels, including Rules and Principles, Underwriting Authorities, corporate governance rules and local regulatory framework.
• Communicate local business strategy externally. Ideally, experienced in PI / D&O / Cyber Risks / Legal Expenses as well as in Multinational Clients/Programs.
• Sound knowledge of pricing, together with strong market analysis skills.
• Ideally, experience in driving underwriting projects.
• Data analytics skills.
• Fluent English and Spanish language skills.
• Very good knowledge in Office 365 and other collaborative tools, with a willingness to learn and explore how AI can enhance your role and the broader organization.
