La Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena convoca para la figura de UCCi Specialist in Social Knowledge Transfer. El puesto implica trabajar en el Unidad de Cultura Científica e Innovación de UPCT, con dedicación de 20 h semanales, de lunes a viernes, 9:00 a 13:00, en Cartagena.

La posición es indefinida y requiere Formación de Bachillerato o FP, valorándose experiencia en divulgación científica, organización de eventos y dominio de inglés a nivel B2 o superior para contenidos en divulgación.

Qualifications

• Capacidad de diseñar protocolos y seguimiento de proyectos.

Responsabilités

• Analizar metodologías y buenas prácticas para la transferencia social de conocimiento.
• Diseñar un protocolo para identificar, promover y monitorizar oportunidades de transferencia social desde el UCC+i.
• Desarrollar mecanismos de coordinación con OTC, personal de transferencia tecnológica y grupos de investigación.
• Identificar actores sociales y diseñar iniciativas piloto para transferencia y participación ciudadana.
• Definir indicadores para evaluar alcance e impacto social de las acciones.

TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY OF CARTAGENA , A CALL FOR APPLICATIONS IS ANNOUNCED FOR THE HIRING OF SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNICAL STAFF GROUP III TECHNICAL SUPPORT STAFF IN THE RESEARCH AREA OF PROMOTING THE SOCIAL TRANSFER OF KNOWLEDGE GENERATED BY THE UPCT (CALL CODE: C-046/26) .

TITLE OF THE POSITION OFFERED: UCCi Specialist in Social Knowledge Transfer.

TYPE OF CONTRACT: Indefinite.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION: High School Diploma or Vocational Training Certificate.

In the case of degrees obtained abroad (including EU degrees), applicants must provide proof that they hold the corresponding recognition or credential attesting to the equivalence of their degree, if applicable.

WEEKLY DEDICATION: This will be a full time position, and the workweek
will consist of 20 h, from Monday to Friday, from 9h to 13h.

GROSS ANNUAL REMUNERATION: The employee will receive an annual gross salary of 13.169,80 euros.

PROJECT TITLE: Promoting the social transfer of knowledge generated by UPCT.

DURATION: The term of this contract will be contingent upon the availability of budgetary funds for the aforementioned line of research.

Current R&D&I activity:
Project: “2026/2027 Program of Activities at the UCC+i of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena,” reference number FCT-25-22414, funded by the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology, F.S.P. -Ministry of Science, Innovation, and Universities, as part of the 2025 call for grants to promote scientific culture and innovation. Budget line 30.05.70.Z978 231B (code: 2026/00090/001).

INTENDED DATE OF DEPUTY EMPLOYMENT: immediate.

TASKS TO BE CARRIED OUT:

• Analysis of methodologies and best practices for the social transfer of scientific knowledge.
• Design of a protocol for identifying, promoting, and monitoring opportunities for social transfer from the UCC+i.
• Development of coordination mechanisms with the OTC, technology transfer staff, and research groups.
• Identification of social actors and design of pilot initiatives for transfer and citizen participation.
• Definition of indicators to evaluate the scope and social impact of the actions carried out

PLACE OF WORK: UPCT Unit for Scientific Culture and Innovation.

MERITS TO BE ASSESSED AND EVALUATION CRITERIA:

Specific Training (10%): Courses, certifications, or additional training in the following areas will be especially valued:

• Science outreach.
• Public communication of science.
• Event organization and scientific project management.
• Use of digital tools for creating audiovisual or multimedia content (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, etc.).

Professional Experience (20%): Experience in the following areas will be considered:

• Experience in scientific communication and outreach.
• Experience in organizing and managing scientific or cultural events.
• Experience in social media management or content creation for digital media focused on scientific outreach.
• Production of outreach material (articles, videos, press releases) aimed at non-specialist audiences

Languages (10%): Proficiency in English will be evaluated: intermediate-advanced level (B2 or higher), in both oral and written comprehension, and the ability to write scientific outreach content in English.

Other merits (10%): The following, among others, will be considered:

• Membership in representative bodies of duly accredited associations or organizations that involve management activities.
• Volunteer work, collaboration on scientific projects, etc.

Personal interview (30%): The interview will assess the following aspects:

• Communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• Creativity and initiative in proposing science communication projects.
• Ability to organize and manage simultaneous tasks or projects.
• Motivation and interest in the position and in science communication.
• Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate with different areas of the university.
• Availability for activities on a flexible schedule.
