Job summary

ARQUIMEA, a technology company with a focus on Aerospace, Defense & Security, invites applications for an UAV Embedded Systems Integration Specialist in Torrejón de Ardoz (Madrid). The role blends firmware, electronics and system integration with hands-on bench work and flight-test readiness.

The ideal candidate will move between coding in C/C++, Linux, microcontrollers and hardware wiring, while coordinating with autopilot and payload teams to enable reliable UAV prototypes and production

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or equivalent hands-on training in electronics/embedded systems.
• Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded development and Python for scripting.
• Good knowledge of Linux and embedded Linux environments.
• Experience with microcontrollers, preferably ARM Cortex-M / STM32.
• Able to read schematics, datasheets and interface docs.

Responsibilities

• Bring up, configure, integrate and evaluate UAV electronics and sensors.
• Perform hands-on lab integration: wiring, connector checks and first power-up.
• Debug embedded interfaces (UART, CAN, Ethernet, USB, SPI, I2C, PWM, GPIO).
• Develop or modify embedded firmware and small utilities.
• Create device configuration scripts for automated testing and data capture.
• Support autopilot, flight-control, navigation and payload teams during integration and testing.
• Document wiring, firmware versions, test setups and procedures.
