IQVIA's Linguistic Solutions team within PCS Instrument Services seeks a Translation Associate Project Manager to oversee COA translation and linguistic validation projects. The role requires planning, coordination, and rigorous quality control across languages.

You will manage LSPs and vendors, coordinate content extraction and integration, and ensure timelines, budgets, and documentation are met. Bachelor’s degree and COA validation experience are essential.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English is essential; another language is a strong asset.

• Familiarity with translation tools (TMS, CAT) and MS Office suite.

• Communicate with translation vendors and linguists to ensure timely delivery and high-quality work.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including glossaries, style guides, and project plans.
• Collaborate with instrument developers, science advisors, and COA managers for translation reviews.
• Conduct preliminary quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency within and across languages.
• Record QA findings and resolve issues with providers before finalization.
• Provide regular updates to internal and external stakeholders on status, risks, and challenges.
• Identify and escalate issues during translation process to senior PMs when necessary.
• Monitor and maintain quality of project documentation and deliverables.
• Manage multiple, parallel complex projects simultaneously.
• Follow SOPs and WIs; contribute to process improvements.

Job Overview

The Linguistic Solutions team within PCS Instrument Services at IQVIA is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Translation Associate Project Manager to manage linguistic validation and translation development projects of Clinical Outcomes Assessments (COAs).

Job Summary

The Translation Associate Project Manager will be responsible for managing the lifecycle of COA cultural adaptation. The ideal candidate will support the management of translation and linguistic validation projects, ensuring that all translations meet quality standards and project timelines. This role requires excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of translation and linguistic validation projects, with adherence to project scope, timeline, and budget
• Manage LSP’s and vendors collaborating on translation and linguistic validation projects
• Help manage the extraction, translation, and integration of content across various languages and platforms
• Coordinate project meetings, draft agendas, and detailed meeting minutes
• Coordinate linguist recruitment and manage vendor SOWs and trackers
• Communicate with translation vendors and linguists to ensure timely delivery and high-quality work
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including translation glossaries, style guides, and project plans
• Collaborate with instrument developers, science advisors, and/or COA managers for concept elaboration, as needed to perform translation reviews
• Conduct preliminary quality checks and reviews to ensure completeness, accuracy, and consistency within a language and across all languages included in a study
• Record QA findings and communicate effectively with translation providers to resolve issues before project finalization and client delivery
• Provide regular updates to internal and external stakeholders on project status, risks, and challenges
• Identify and resolve any issues that arise during the translation process, escalating to senior project managers when necessary
• Monitor and maintain quality in project documentation, deliverables, and reports
• Manage multiple, parallel complex projects simultaneously
• Follow company and department SOPs and WIs
• Partner with other project managers to contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and best practices

Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Prior experience in Linguistic Validation of COAs required.
• Minimum of 3 years of related experience in a relevant field (e.g. Translation, Linguistics, Project Management, International Studies).
• Excellent written/verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English is essential, an additional language would be a strong asset.
• Strong grasp of project management techniques required.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple, parallel complex projects simultaneously.
• Familiarity with translation and localization tools, such as TMS and CAT tools.
• Proficient in project management software and computer skills, including MS Suite applications, Visio, Smartsheet, Power BI, etc..
• Ability to follow instructions/guidelines, work independently and on own initiative.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers and clients with demonstrated cultural and emotional intelligence.
• Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality of project documentation and deliverables.
