A global financial institution in Madrid is seeking a candidate to support the trading team with responsibilities including market-making, monitoring funding rates, and enhancing profitability through strategic discussions. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance-related fields, have 1-3 years of relevant experience, and exhibit strong analytical skills. Fluent English is required, and knowledge of Spanish is a plus. This is a full-time role offering growth opportunities.

Formación

  • 1-3 years of experience working on or supporting a trading desk in fixed income or short-term funding markets.
  • Proficient understanding of capital markets, specifically Rates.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.

Responsabilidades

  • Support the existing trading team in both firm financing and client matchbook trading.
  • Monitor market conditions and funding rates for opportunities to enhance profitability.
  • Market-make trades to clients while ensuring adequate inventory coverage and counterparty exposure control.
  • Optimize the usage of internal balance sheet and ensure alignment with regulatory capital constraints.

About the job
Key Responsibilities
  • Support the existing trading team in both firm financing and client matchbook trading
  • Monitor market conditions and funding rates for opportunities to enhance profitability
  • Market‑make trades to clients while ensuring adequate inventory coverage and counterparty exposure control
  • Optimize the usage of internal balance sheet and ensure alignment with regulatory capital constraints (e.g. LCR, NSFR, RWA)
  • Operate in a multi‑stakeholder environment coordinating closely with collateral management, liquidity management, finance and risk teams
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key counterparties (banks, hedge funds, asset managers, CCPs)
  • Ensure compliance with all internal risk, credit and regulatory policies
  • Contribute to strategic discussions regarding repo desk expansion, product innovation and technology improvements
